Louella Thompson
The Dream Center/Feed The Hungry Project Founder
Feed The Hungry Project [FTHP] was established in 1987 by Middletown Ohio resident and hairdresser Mrs. Louella Thompson.
Heeding the voice of God to: “feed my people”, she started FTHP out of her home .
As her dream grew, the need for additional space grew as well.
And as only God would have it, Mrs. Thompson was able to purchase the corner lot adjacent to her house. Through donations from the community and the help of volunteers, the Dream Center was built in 1997.
Our mission of Feed the Hungry Project is to provide nutritious hot meals, adequate clothing, and be a resourceful agency in resolving additional indigent concerns in a spiritual and moral environment, by empowering and encouraging hope, establishing positive change in people’s lives.
Vision
With a strong infrastructure managed by a committed and engaged Board and staff, FTHP will expand its ability to reach the hungry in the Middletown area and those with the aspiration or responsibility to serve them.
Administrative Stability
The administrative resources of FTHP will evolve to support both growth and change in leadership.
